In the summer of 2012, the pastors of Waterstone Church approached Tom Hendrickson, teacher of their Salt & Light adult Bible class, with the idea of planting a church. A volunteer core group of six Waterstone couples began to meet on a regular basis to cast a vision and mission for the new church, to seek God's wisdom and direction for His church.

Tom connected with Phoenix Seminary graduate, James Hoxworth, in March 2013 about being the Preaching Pastor of the new church. James was introduced to Tom through Dr. Wayne Grudem, a mutual friend, author of Systematic Theology, and professor at Phoenix Seminary. James comes to us with a Masters of Divinity degree and eight years of experience serving as a pastor in Phoenix.

As a result, Bridgeway Community Church was birthed from Waterstone on June 1, 2014, when we held our first worship gathering at Front Range Christian School. After over a year, we have grown as a community and are endeavoring to continuing in pursuit of real relationships with God by knowing, living and advancing the gospel of Christ. In June 2015 we participated in a church family camp at YMCA of the Rockies. And we repeated the tradition again in 2016. You can watch a videos of them here.

We are currently meeting in the Performing Arts Center of Front Range Christian High School at 6637 West Ottawa Avenue, in Littleton, CO.

Please view our Mission and Vision Page to watch a video describing who we are as Bridgeway and what we want to be about as a community of believers making much of Jesus through knowing, living and advancing the gospel.
